I am glad that work is over for this week! My craft room is awaiting and I am feeling inspired!

I have connected with the lovely ladies from Gina K designs group called Down Under Stampers and I have have spent the last few days trolling some blogs. Nothing like other people's work to get the juices following again. In the mean time I will share a simple card that I made for my dearest friend's daughter birthday. Jodi has been like a daughter to me and I have loved seeing this wonderful girl turn into a beautiful woman. Hope you had a fantastic birthday Jodi.

I had a very productive day yesterday in my craft room. I have now finished all my blocks for a quilt I started last year with an free online course called Craftsy BOM. I decided if I did this course that I would try and bust my stash and not buy any fabric. Hahaha!!! Of course, you can never do that. I was pretty good at using up a lot of fabric that I had in my drawers, but I did have to buy the background fabric.   I am busily doing the sashing. Here is the layout so far.
I'll post a photo as I get closer to finishing.

I think I spend too much time on other people's blogs and never get the time to post on my own!
The weather here in the Mountains has been lovely and sunny, It is a hint of Spring but I know that winter hasn't finished with us yet as the nights are still cold.

My creativity has been lacking of late but I have accomplished a few cards. Here they are;
This Card is made using stamps from Gina K designs Vintage Chic collection and Spellbinders dies. Lace and ribbon from my stash on craft cardstock and patterned pattern from my collection.

Colouring and cutting out takes by back to my childhood and I find it so therapeutic. Here I have coloured a beautiful rose from the Stately Flowers 6 with copic markers and  adhered it to  classic ovals from spellbinders. The background is embossed with Stampin Up lovely Brocade embossing folder after being inked with Memento 'Bamboo Leaves'

How I love the wonderful stamps that come from Gina K designs. The tutorials that Gina gives each week are also fantastic and I have learnt so much from Stamp TV. The cameo in the above card comes from the set by Theresa Momber 'Timeless Treasures' and the tutorial on how to colour the cameo I learnt from her blog 'Crafting the Web'. Again I used me lovely collection of copic markers.

That is all for today and I hope that I will be back soon to share some more creativity.

I have been very busy in my craft room this week with so many birthdays for family and friends. It started out with making a card for a dear friend whom I work with. She loves purple so I just had to make a card for her in purple. She is also partial to a wee drop, so Champagne seemed to be the order for the day. I love this little stamp from Jemac rubber stamps, as it can be used for so many occasions. Here is her card:
The following day was the birthday celebration of my wonderful husband. As he is into go karting, I thought a checkered flag theme was the go and what better stamp for that than the lovely Tilda from Magnolia waving the flags from You're the winner series.  Stamping Up Argyle embossing folder gave a bit of texture to the background square cut out with Spellbinders Nestibilities. The lovely winner's cup came from a masculine set at clearartstamps which I embossed in Silver fine detail embossing powder. This is the finished product:
Well that's all for today, I'll be back to post some more later in the week.
Bye

Welcome 2013

2013 has started already..... I had promised myself that I was going to be more productive on my blog this year.
Here it is day 20 already and this is my first post. However I have been into my craft and have completed a couple of projects just before Christmas. This was the first in a set of three stained glass wallhangings depicting the Nativity scene.
Here is the complete set all finished.I acquired the patterns whilst on a trip to America in 2010 and they are from Designs by Edna.

Today also marks a memorable day in the life of my church. The Lower Mountains Anglican church is embarking on a building project which will see a new parish centre being built in Glenbrook on this site. Today we celebrated all the work that God has done in the old A frame building which is coming down in early February. My DH and I were married there in October 2001, so it is with a tinge of sadness that we said goodbye to this building today. However, there is also great joy at the prospects to come that God will open up for us in the building.

I have finally made it back in my craft room and I want to share two of the cards that I have made today. The flowers in the top photo have been embossed onto watercolour paper and then using reinkers and a waterbrush I have coloured them in, then cut them out and adhered them with glue dots.
The bottom card is a digital stamp from I Brake for Stamps which I have colored with copics and then cut and adhered to a background made with spellbinders labels 10.
Copper and Brown seem to be my thing at the moment. I have made this card for a dear friend who just got engaged. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Stamps from Inkadinkadoo
Christina Re Designer paper
Embossing powder in copper
Ivory and Chocolate Cardstock with Ivory lace and Brown ribbon.
